Removing Authorship Before the publishing of an Article
Guidelines for Editors in case of Request for Removing Authorship Before the publishing of an Article
When an author requests the removal of another author's name before publishing an article, the editor must first determine the underlying reason. If the editor is convinced, they should obtain written approval from all concerned authors. There are two possible outcomes
All concerned authors agree to remove the existing author and provide written approval
The editor proceeds to update the journal's author list accordingly and, if desired by all authors, includes the removed author's name in the acknowledgments.
The editor updates the author list with complete details and finalizes publication formalities.
